Just wanted to commend you all on a great - no fantastic - product.
Aside from the numerous features that make this superior to the competition, it is also relatively simple to use, and therefore easy for a new user to get up and running.
I was going to post a question yesterday for a 'feature request', however I thought I'd try a some alternatives.
My request was to have generic ; delimited lists, that didn't require a fixed definition when creating the field, but allowed the user to enter free form delimited lists when editing the audio files. It works, and what a powerful feature.
I wanted to use the "Tones" and "Styles" fields, corresponding to the equivalents on AllMusic.COM (fantastic site).
I created the in the library, set the semicolon delimited option and created the two new fields. Modified about 300 songs, entering in the data from AllMusic, changing the commas to ;'s and wham-bam-thankyou-mam, it worked
Using the Media Library grouping features, I now have Genre/Styles/Tones, and can listen to music in a whole different way. Each item appears as a searchable key in the database.
Great job all.
Cheers,
Stu
