Grouping Level of List type fields
« on: September 17, 2003, 01:02:52 am »

Hi,

I just discovered that it is not possible to add a 'Grouping Level' (A-B, 1-3, ...) for a field of type List (semicolon delimited).

There's probably a good technical reason but it's a real shame because the 'People' field (List type) for my images collection is getting big (more that 200 names) and I thought it would be nice if I could group them by letters 'A, B, C' in the same way I do for the Artists (standard type) of my audio collection.

In the meantime I added another field 'People Group' to ease organization but, well, grouping of List type fields would be nice in a future release.

thanks & nice day to all,

C.

Yeah - as well as grouping of Dimensions, Dates, File Sizes and a few others that aren't currently working.

This and resizing panes would really be the finishing and polishing off of this area - v9.2 maybe? :)

I have noticed the same  thing. I don't know why it is not possible anymore but it was possible  before. That was very useful feature, now I have to make my view schemes again...
