Feature Request: Arbitrary number of output channels in "Output Format"

(1/2) > >>

jjazdk:
Presently the choices in number of channels in "Output Format" is very limited, f.x. one can choose 16 or 24, but nothing in between.

As an owner of the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, I would like the option to choose 20 channels as that is what my soundcard supports.

Therefore I suggest the option to choose every even number of channels in "Output Format" 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 and so forth.

Greetings from Denmark

I think this is an elaboration of what @mwillems mentioned in http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=99096.msg685987#msg685987

perhaps we should roll this one into that thread (which is intended to be all about using jriver for this sort of setup)?

jjazdk:
Yes, agreed, I think that is what mwillems is saying as well.

How do I/we roll it into that thread, is there a specific/official way of doing it?

There's no formal way to log feature requests, we just decided to wrap those up in 1 place as we'd had similar discussions on quite a few threads.

I've been meaning to update the 1st post so will do that later on today.

Okay, great. Meanwhile I have made a post in the DSP Feature Request thread, with a link to this thread.
