Using a older backup from MC20. Will it destroy the settings I have Now?

--- Quote from: glynor on August 30, 2015, 12:02:43 pm ---Most DLNA settings are not part of the Library.  They are settings (like Audio Settings, Zones, DSPs, and other Media Network settings). You can restore these independently of the Library using a Library Backup.

So, you can restore the Library-only portion of your backup onto your newly configured copy of MC21, and it will restore just the Library (the files you imported, way Views are set up, playlists and smartlists, etc) without impacting all of your other settings.

One thing that could, however, mess you up depends on what you mean by DLNA set up.  You didn't explain that.  If you altered the Media Network Views, then this would be part of the Library portion, and you would basically just have to re-import the files. But, it wasn't clear from any of the descriptions above what specifically you worked on for that week.

you might remember me asking for a sub-genre for kids movies.(I was in fear of losing the movie dlna stuff I had worked on for a week, to show up on the smart tv...to keep the kid movies segregated from the normal adult movies (not porn)) i ran back and forth from server room to tv room countless times to get it to work...with the help of these kind souls i mostly have it doing what i need it to do....
