Equalizer Resets for Each Track
« on: August 31, 2015, 09:00:48 pm »

I'm having a problem with the Equalizer. I pick a preset, play a song, and when the next song plays, the equalizer resets itself to some other setting. I'm unable to figure it out.

Do you have DSP set per track?

I don't think so. This is a new problem for me and I've had JRiver for a few years now. How can I check that?

Also, the environment option won't let me select any numbers. It reads --.

pick any track and look at the DSP tag, it should be empty (right click, tag)

if you select all your tracks, and the DSP tag read [varies] then some of them have a tag

I have 21.0.27. Every time a new song plays, EQ resets to all flat. There are no "AutoEQ" tags set in any of the songs.

This just started happening. How do I fix this? I want to set the EQ and leave it.

Double-check the "DSP" field for the files.  It sounds like you want it blank.

DSP fields are all blank. AutoEQ fields are all blank. Any other suggestions? This is really getting annoying. I noticed as soon as I stop playing a song, all the EQ settings go to flat.
Then it says "Playback stopped or current playback doesn't support processing".

I think there's a bug.

What's the AutoEQ field?  That's not an MC field.

Wow, that's unexpected.  I can imagine that's not fun at all.  What kind of files does it stop on?  DSD?  FLAC?  MP3?

It doesn't matter what type of file it's playing. I hit STOP and all the EQ bands transition to the middle/flat. Weird. I'm gonna install a previous version and see if that helps.
