I have been experiencing this problem probably since I started using Media Center (around v20.0.87). Sometimes when selecting a smartlist (definitely does happen) or a library view (not so sure, I tried it several times now and it's not happening, but I could swear it used to) the first song in the list gets highlighted. It gets in the way if automatic shuffle is used.

Also sometimes when selecting a smartlist or a library view it would only get ''half-selected''. When this happens a smartlist or a library view would get highlighted by a lighter shade of yellow (aruba skin) as opposed to deep yellow. What happens when a tree item is ''half-selected'' is that I can see all the songs associated with that smartlist or view and playback will start if play button is pressed, but said tree item can't be renamed or deleted - when right clicking those options are greyed out.

I can't reproduce what you are talking about in paragraph 1 - I don't have aruba loaded anymore. On other skins, it nevers selects anything if I'm focused on the tree window. Try the default skin or another skin .. still happening?

as for half selection, I really don't know what you mean ... maybe provide a screenshot? For me its either selected or its not

I added the screenshot for the second issue - notice that 'rename' and 'delete' are greyed out. I think this mostly happens when going between sections of the tree - for example from audio to playlists.

As for the first issue I have tried Noire skin and it still happens from time to time.
