Direct Show Problems

Is anybody getting a directshow error when opening dxdiag? That says
--- Quote ---Dxdiag has detected there might have be a problem accessing direct show the last time this program was used, Would you like to bypass directshow?

I recently had Windows 8.1 installed with this issue, thought it might have been something I did myself so opted to wait for Windows 10 hoping it would disappear to no avail (Edit: The OS was upgraded then clean installed). The only programs I've installed where I believe them to use directshow are MC, Steam, VlC Media Player (Minimal Install), Soundspectrums G-Force and Nvidia software and Drivers.

Just wondering if anybody has the same issue so I can rule out MC.
