"Audio file location cannot be read-only" error [Solved]
(1/1)
Jim L:
In Tools->Options->File Location, the Audio location is correctly pointing at /net/naspro/c/media/Music, which is the auto-mounted location of my NAS drive's music folder.
I've verified I can write to this folder.
However, I am now unable to save the dialog; I get "Audio file location cannot be read-only" and have to cancel the dialog.
Jim L:
It's OK, I've changed the folder permissions, and MC is happier.
Matt:
[I was typing this while you replied -- I'll let it sit anyway]
We only show "Audio file location cannot be read-only" if the folder isn't allowing us to write.
We have a pretty sophisticated checking method (open the path, then create a file if that fails), so I'm guessing you've got a Windows permission problem or something.
