Skipping to chapters in videos with hot key
(1/1)
blgentry:
I've been really enjoying the improved video support in MC21 for Mac. I'm using it for almost ALL of my video viewing now, which is a big change.
I've seen that MC has a way to jump to chapters in video files in Player > Display Options > Jump To . I'd like to be able to do this with a key instead. I did some research and found a video from Glynor showing that the arrow keys do it. But it doesn't seem to work on my system. Arrow keys jump 30 seconds on my system. Same with <shift><Command><Right> (or left).
I tried to find a Core Command that could be mapped, but I can't decipher which command would "jump to next chapter".
For clarity, I'm talking about chapter marks in .MP4 or .M4V files made by Handbrake from DVDs. Not MKVs or IFOs or anything like that.
Thanks,
Brian.

Ctrl+N (Next), Ctrl+L (Last) do it on Windows. I don't have my Mac booted up right now or anything, but maybe they just work?
blgentry:
Ctrl;N is the same as <Command>-N on Mac. That's mapped to core command 10003, which is "MCC_NEXT". That moves forward to the next item in Playing Now.
Maybe something is different about video mode on Windows versus Mac in terms of key bindings?
I just tried clearing Playing Now and playing a single video. The forward key seems to do nothing. I've got it remapped to a different key, but I'm using core command 10003 param 0, so I'd expect it to be the same.

Next build:
Fixed: Previous/Next commands work with chapters in videos.
It appears this part wasn't implemented yet in the Mac video player.

^ Thanks Hendrik!
