Hi all
Since the time I bought a PC with Windows 7 the media keys of my keyboard don't work correctly.
Every other key (including volume up/down) works. Only the [play/pauze], [previous track], [next track] and [stop] keys don't work.
Somehow the keys do work when Windows Media Player is opened beside Media Center 16. If I close Windows' player the keys return to not working again.
I've already tried to create a macro for the 4 keys, but JRiver needs to be active for the keys to work.
My question is short: Is there a way to link my media keys to JRiver without opening Windows Media Player or macro's?
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Keyboard: Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 3000
Current Driver: Microsoft IntelliType Pro (installed for Keyboard 3000)
Thank you in advance for the help.

Try changing this setting:
Tools/Options/Media Key Mode

First, thanks for replying.
Second, changing the media key mode doesn't seem to help.
I've changed the option at General - Advanced to Disabled, App Commands & Hot Keys (default was Automatic).
I restarted the media player just to be sure, but it didn't seem to help.
On a side note, I did notice the cursor changing to "loading" every time I press the play/pause key.
Maybe it relates to the problem.

Two other suggestions:
1) Uninstall Intellitype (it does custom routing that often causes troubles)
2) Manually configure what the buttons should do in Intellitype (use commands like MC17.exe /Play, etc.)

Uninstalling Intellitype helped ;D. That solved the problem. Thanks for the help!
