Title: ripping very slow somebody a hint?

since I've changed to a new PC with W8 ripping with my internal drive is  slow. my old external drive is still up to speed, which means 3 to 4 times faster than my new internal drive.
does somebody can give me a hint about what can be wrong? parameter setting?
the drive was already replaced.

I too have the same issue in MC 19 (19.0.32). I loaded iTunes and used Windows Media Player to RIP the same CD's and they are constantly 4x, 5x, and the odd 6x times faster than when I use MC.  MC gives me a constant. 3.8X.  Like right now, I am ripping a Handel Concerto Op. 1-7 and it just sits at 3.8X.  I do not understand what the issue is...help please...at this rate it will take months to finish ripping my CD library!  Running W8.
