I have used MediaCenter for years without any issues, but now I am getting No disc in Drive. It never detects that there is a CD even if I hit refresh, restart and stop all other apps. Nothing. Anyone else getting this problem. Program is now useless for me.

Bad drive? Antivirus?
What version of MC? What OS?
-
I am having the same issue. WMP has no problem with playing or ripping the same disc on the same drive. I'm new to MC and starting to regret buying it.

Antivirus?
-
I dont think this is the antivirus because it works on JRiver 24
If it was, what could you tell me about authorizations/ exceptions necessary to work ?
Thank's
-
That's how antiviruses work. They can even allow one build and not the next.

With antivrus Avira Off No difference.
1 running MC 27
2 reading a DVD
> CRASH
3 runing MC 27 a second time
>direct CRASH
Is there a patch to solve this problem that some of us have met ?

I reported the same issue several months ago.
It is getting worse- to the point that I now have to reboot my computer every couple rips.
It was blamed on my external CD Drive, even though I get the same issue with 2 different drives and those drives have worked flawlessly on my computer until MC 27.
I have upgraded JRiver since the teens but at this point it is unusable to me.

I have same issue. I'm running Windows 10 and MC27. I have no issues writing to CD outside of MC27 and MC27 will read from CD just fine. I can't write to CD within MC27 due to "No disc in Drive" error. Disabling anti-virus makes no difference. I don't think I had this problem previously but have installed a new LG optical drive (GH24-NSD1). Device drivers are up to date and it seems to work outside of MC27.
