Hi, I'm trying jriver 27 but it doesn't tune the test channels hevc dvb-t2 italia.
I have a hauppauge quad tv card that supports t2, in fact with dvbviewer and wintv I can tune t2 channels.
Before buying jriver I would like to be sure ...
Thanks

Did you manually configure your tuner in MC to indicate that it is capable of DVB-T2 tuning?
Right-click "Television" in the left panel in Standard View, and choose "Manage Devices...". On the resulting dialog window select your tuner, and click Configure... Check the checkbox "The tuner is capable of tuning to DVB-T2."
-
yes, i set dvb-t2, i also did slow channel scan
thanks
-
Are you saying you can not find the T2 channels in channels scan? All T2 channels or just some of them?
-
in italy at the moment there are only 2 dvb-t2 channels, from next year the switch off starts, and since i am still with wmc, which does not support t2, i am looking for an alternative.
as mentioned above these channels with dvbviewer and wintv are tuned and played, while jriver does not tune them.
my english is google translated, hope you understand and can help me ... :) :)
thanks

Please turn on logging (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Logging), and get a log file when you reproduce the issue.
Email the log file to me, or post it here if it is not too large. yaobing at jriver dot com

I hope it goes well
Thanks

Thanks for the log.
DVB-T2 channels should have an T2 Delivery System Descriptor in Network Information Table but the log does not show that descriptor being parsed. Do you know the tuning parameters of these T2 channels (such as frequency, bandwidth, etc.)?

Can the screenshot fit?
Thanks

Channel scan did find Service ID 3410, (Rai, Test HEVC main10), PMT PID 300, video PID 500, audio PID. Since it has no audio, it was ignored. Is it true that the test channel has no audio?
-
Yes, I confirm that there is no audio.
so when the channels will have audio and video will they be tuned?
Thanks
-
You can try adding a channel manually. TV Options > Manage Channels. Click Add button and enter all parameters that you know. I just tested, it accept 0 for Audio PID. So maybe it will work.
-
I'll try and let you know.
I have another problem that I can't solve, can I talk about it here or do I need to open another post?
Thanks
-
I don't see it, do you think it is set up well?
Thanks
-
That is almost right. Audio PID should be set to 0 because there is no audio. Also the checkbox "Is DVB2" ("E' DVB2") should be checked.

If it is not related to the current issue, it would be better to start a different topic.

I tried to change the settings you suggested but the channel is not seen.
Thanks

Do you mean that when you try to show channel "Test HEVC main10", the video is not displayed on screen? Or do you mean that you just can not find the channel in the channel list?
-
The video is not displayed
Thanks

The video is not displayed
Thanks
Make sure logging is still on, restart MC. Then try to play the channel. Get the log file.

It works...:):)
Thanks

Great!
All I have to do is to remove the restriction that a TV channel must have audio. Then scanning for channels should find the channel too.
