Title: Playlist Transfer
Post by: tasar on February 22, 2017, 11:56:50 am
Recently mounted MC to new computer. When physically directing library transfer from attached HD, files and metadata came "playlist" delete. Box was checked to include playlists from the updated source library. I suppose playlists are encoded in the MC library software that doesn't travel with library transfers when licensed to another computer. What's the trick to retrieve playlists ?

Playlists are part of a backup.

Hmmmm.... not that easy. I always backup and did so before licensing on another computer which is using the same file containing hard drive.
Why would all the backup files transfer, but lists not transfer to other computer ?
I assume playlists reside and are executed within MC player software, not saved anywhere per say, just pulls files on demand, from it's audio list.
So what to do ? Is there a way to export playlists? If so, it would have to go thru a shared storage device or the HD as a doc or whatever. Am I missing something ?
