The tool tips/context menu in Windows Explorer no longer lists Media Center>Import.
(Attempting to import with drag and drop often results in hanging the program.)

Did you try rebooting?
Also Windows Defender configuration?

Rebooted several times. This is my server, which has already received the full Awesome Donkey treatment, so unless the updates have somehow undone these changes, I’ve already checked the usual factors.
This is something new for me in Windows 10. I’ve never seen this before. In digging in further, it appears this has been a recurring issue for others. There are several long (and very complex) threads dealing with it. I’m not able to follow them in detail, but it seems to boil down to the fact that context menus are ornery beasts.

I disabled Shell Integration, which is automatically selected in this iteration, rebooted and MC is back on the context menu. Weird - should have been the opposite, shouldn't it?

Do you have two versions installed still?
-
Yes. I installed 27 over 26. Should I be uninstalling the older iteration first?

Not first necessarily, but perhaps now.
