Title: Problem with NAS Storage on Netgear D6300 USB 2.0 port
Post by: jrhappy on June 16, 2015, 01:53:53 pm
I loaded a cd ripped, 44.1kHz/16bit, album onto a flash drive supported by my D6300 router.  I can select this NAS library in my Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6 and play this album but when I select this library in JRiver on my notebook, JRiver loads the library and shows me the album cover and tracks normally but when I select play I get the Playback Problem dialog telling me that:

"...Something went wrong with playback.

Details:
Playback could not be started on the output 'ASIO' using the format '44.1kHz 2ch'.

This output format may not be supported by your hardware..."

Obviously, my hardware supports the cd Redbook format.

I have an AURALiC VEGA dac with the AURALiC USB Audio 2.0 ASIO Driver [ASIO] loaded.  My notebook is connected to the dac with a USB 2.0 rated cable.   Why is this happening and how can I fix this so that I can play my music from NAS storage?  Note:  I have no problem selecting the same album if I load the notebook library containing it. It then plays with no problem.

Thanks.

Try Direct Sound and WASAPI instead of ASIO.  WASAPI has two modes.
