Title: VST Support in 2020
Post by: JunoAudio on June 24, 2020, 04:23:41 am
Hi,

I would like to vote for the support of VST3.0 effects standard in MC, as it was first introduced in 2008 and now has some support in the Linux arena.

Please support this request.

Cheers - Happy coding.

Another vote! ... it's a certain thing that most plugin's developers are (slowly) moving to VST3 so sooner or later...

What are the benefits, actually?

A refresh of the plugin interface would be highly appreciated, too. They do not look and scale well. This is done quite nicely in audirvana (this plus tidal integration being only bright spot there, i.m.h.o.).

VST3 (now 3.7) support in MC, it looks like this will not happen in MC26, so please vote for this in MC27.

Now that VST 2.0 is not supported anymore and that the Global industry has move on to VST3, this would be a good time to invest into the vast array of plugins available.

As a loyal supporter of jriver I am really frustrated to see this NOT on the roadmap for MC27. This is an essential audio feature.
