I have a bunch of things on my Gizmo wishlist :P
If I had to choose just one improvement for Gizmo, it would be the addition of a Notification Bar Icon.
Why? A few reasons:
- If Gizmo isn't the active app, there's no visual clue it's playing.
- Switching back to Gizmo from another apps is a pain. Same goes for simply checking what's playing.
- The app just feels unfinished without a icon; it's the only Android media player I've used that doesn't have one.
Please consider adding an icon, and make this guy's development cycle ;D

From a performance standpoint, apps that have a persistent notification are excluded from resource management (ehem terminating apps) by os :g

Well you wouldn't want the OS to close your music player, would you now?
As long as its playing music, it won't be closed either way.

It doesn't sound like this is a priority for you, Hendrik?
I'm really spoiled by the notification icon, and player controls in the notification pull-down (see attached)
I have to admit, when you posted those new screenshots of the Gizmo now playing screen, the first thing I noticed was the icon in the Notification Bar . :P

That icon indicates that Android has a USB Debug connection to a PC established. :p
A notification icon/controls for Gizmo is something I would like to do, but not sure when.
