Title: Tagging help
Post by: liffy99 on June 12, 2017, 03:56:13 am
Hi
I'm trying the trial of JR and have loaded my music library easily. Inevitable I can see a few albums that need some tags tidying but I'm struggling, for example  . . .

I have an album of 19 Vivaldi Concerti which is appearing as seven different albums (each has a different album name, such as Vivaldi Concerti RV189, Vivaldi Concerti RV142 etc) with two or more tracks (movements) in each. OK. I've tried renaming each album name to read the same "Vivaldi Concerti" but the original names still show in album view and I still have seven separate albums.
How do I change this to simply have one album with 19 tracks ?
Thanks

If the entry under "Artist" varies for each track you could try to populate the "Album Artist" tag with the same name for all tracks. I use something like "various", keeping the "Artist" tags, so I don't lose info or add something wrong. This worked for me, I would only see one album entry after that.
