Title: JRiver Media Center in Hifi & Musik magazine
Post by: JimH on January 31, 2012, 09:07:13 am
Some days start off nice.  I received an e-mail this morning from the author of an article in the February 2012 issue of Hifi & Musik magazine.  I think it's a Swedish magazine.

"Hi Jim you get one side in new number of HIFI MUSIK. See pics.
REGARDS
Mikael"

He was nice enough to take a couple of pictures and send them to me.

Thanks, Mikael!

Here's what it says in Swedish:

Deras Mediacenter och jukebox anses som det mest valljudande och ofargade pa marknaden, enligt Stereophile och dom andra storre tidningarna.  Konfigurationnen som man kommit fram till ar foljande: outpot mode: WASAPI - event style.  Outpot mode settings: hardware buffer size 100 milliseconds.  Man hor latt skillnaden vs foobar2000.

PS: Som kuriosa, jag trot det var JRiver som tog fram APE formatet, sa dom vet verkligen vad dom haller pa med.

PPS: skulle ocksa bara saga att asio wasapi ar borttagna fran jukebox 14.

And again in English (from translate.google.com):

Their Media Center and the jukebox is considered as the most melodious and clear the market, according Stereophile and the other major newspapers. Configuration that were reached are as follows: outpot fashion: WASAPI - event style. Outpot mode settings: hardware buffer size 100 milliseconds. One hears batten difference vs. Foobar2000.

PS: As a curiosity, I still was JRiver that produced APE format, did they really know what they're doing.

PPS: would only say that ASIO wasapi been removed from the jukebox 14

The google translate are tootaly wrong in this sentence.

Swedish "PS: Som kuriosa, jag trot det var JRiver som tog fram APE formatet, sa dom vet verkligen vad dom haller pa med."
Google translate "PS: As a curiosity, I still was JRiver that produced APE format, did they really know what they're doing."

"More correct translation"  As a extra, i think it was JRiver, that produced APE format, so they really know what they're doing.

Thanks for the correction.  Matt Ashland, our CTO, is the inventor/author of Monkey's Audio (APE).  He did it before he came to JRiver.
