Title: Swap Stereo Channels
Post by: Ziggi on April 18, 2018, 08:11:42 am
Hi,

Due to my desk arrangement, I have my headset cable on the left side which renders my channels swapped. If I put headset properly, the cable is positioned annoyingly. It would be great to be able to swap audio channels but the Sound Blaster Platinum driver does not support this. Neither JRiver...

Any idea besides soldering wires (I have expensive Sennheiser headset with gold-plated wires - will not solder it myself).

If you are going to cut wires, get a headphone extension cable, cut that and reverse the wires. That leaves the headphones intact.

DSP Studio > Parametric EQ > Add: Mix Channels > Swap Left and Right channels.

Oh, perfect, I wasn't aware of this option and I'm in the same situation with my speakers (I needed to swap them due to cable problems).

@RD James - this is virtual only, isn't it? I mean when I use my Windows balance settings, it still works in the way I turn off right channel and my left speaker goes muted.

I'm not sure what you mean by it being "virtual only" ?
It will swap the channels around for anything played in Media Center, or anything system-wide if you play it via the WDM driver.
