Post by: bariko on July 10, 2023, 03:26:41 pm
Greetings
I am using  JRiver Media Center 29 with Windows 10
I encounter stuttering on many audio files
It can be any format of file,  from simple MKV to full UHD Blu-Ray.

I've searched for similar problem on the forum before starting , but not find good solution.

Hope someone can help with this issue

Thank you

Gonna need some more details.

Computer specs / how you're outputting both video and audio would be helpful.
Do these video files play without problem in other applications?

These  video files run smoothly both with my OPPO 203 player and Kody.

I am not really understood the second question.
My English is poor,
Basically I am running files from  external hard drive, connected via USB

Configure Windows Defender.  You'll find a thread here.  Don't use another antivirus.

Look at this thread for similar problems and solutions:

Also try playing back files that are located locally on the PC, not on a USB hard drive (or NAS, or anything like that) in order to see if the issue is a bottleneck with the USB hard drive. If it doesn't stutter with files located locally on the PC but does with files on the USB hard drive, that likely means there's a speed bottleneck with the USB hard drive.

Thanks for the reply
JimH

I am using Norton 360.
I tried to disable the protection for half an hour, but it does not make any different.

Awesome Donkey
I tried playing back files that are located locally on the PC, again it does not make any different.
I don't think there is any problem with the USB port.
These files run smoothly with KODY from the same external drive..

Uninstall Norton.

I am not going to Uninstall Norton, because it's not the problem

Could anyone please guide me regarding the correct settings, in the places I marked?
Of course according to the hardware I presented in a previous message

Thank you.
