Title: [Request] Stoplight icons (minimize, close, restore, maximize) behaviour change
Post by: Awesome Donkey on December 09, 2015, 07:14:16 pm
Greetings, I'd like to request a change in how the stoplight buttons (close, restore, minimize, maximize) work to function more like the actual stoplight buttons when hovering the mouse upon them.

Currently JRiver's stoplight buttons look like this when hovering the mouse over one of the buttons;

However if you hover your mouse over another app's stoplight buttons (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Finder, etc.) they look like this;

See the difference? When hovering the mouse over another Mac app all the stoplight buttons change (and show what their functions are) instead of showing the specific function when hovering the mouse upon them in JRiver.

The request is simple... match what OS X does. When hovering the mouse over a stoplight button to show which function it is, it should show all button's functions. This is purely cosmetic but it'd better match the actual Mac's behaviour. :)

Thoughts?

The request is simple...
The request is simple, the fix not so much.  The cross platform MC skinning engine does all drawing & handling of these buttons unlike with other Mac apps where the OS takes care of them.
