Title: MC 30 Features
Post by: JimH on July 28, 2022, 04:20:34 pm
Here's our plan so far.  There's always a possibility it will change.

Alexa

ATSC 3.0 TV

Anything else significant but not released yet

Spotlight Page on JRiver site

Amazon Video integration

Clean up Netflix integration  (white flashes, etc.)

Sync between two libraries

Duplicate correction

Built in SSDP

Nothing there for me, audio only for me.

Any upgrade on the user interface, as its looking tired.

How about full integration with last FM so get information from as well as scobbling to?

Still on version 28 have upgraded in the past from version 19 but seems each one is moving away from
audio more video/film integration, not for me.

The audio people think we're only working on video.

The video people think we only work on audio.

Luckily, there are people who use both.

I agree...I tried using this for music and this program is way behind on finding information for tagging.  JRiver needs to look at pulling information in from well-known music sources.  Also, just changing data without verification is not good either.  Many things I could mention but why bother.  I guess it is assumed we don't use video because we want music information.

Hello JimH,

I belive to be almost an old customer, having started using MC 22 or 23 (I forgot it now), however, since that time I was asking to have "a consolidated folder by structure view" as Foobar2000 has since its incipit... but even in this presented MC 30, no mention of this, for me very useful, feature.

Kindly let me know if you ever will implement it...

Kind regards, Andrea

Data files need some love. What good is audio/video without info?

Talking about "a consolidated folder by structure view",  I desire myself - if possible - a one click sort by Filepath (only a "custom" choice in JRM26) as my default choice

Hello JimH, please give a look the the thread I opened in 2017: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,111796.msg772786.html#msg772786

Interesting also to evalute the script I am now using with MC29 (is there listed).
It is somehow working... but it is very slow and it does not have the "usability" of the Foobar2000 implementation.

Regards, Andrea
