I have several m4a Atmos audio-only files that give the "something went wrong with playback" dialog. I have my output set to bitstream hdmi to my Atmos compliant pre/pro. These files work with other media players but not MC30. I also tried to change the media type to video, and it had no effect. Please help me to understand what settings i need to change to get MC30 to play m4a atmos audio-only files to play.
Thanks in advance!

Can you provide one of these m4a files? (upload to any file hosting site, provide link)

I tried, but unable to get MC to play it. It will play in ZoomPlayer.
Maybe you'll get someone else to chime in.

Thanks for the sample file. This should be fixed in the next build.

how are you extracting Atmos and repackaging in m4a? I have a lot of Atmos audio now but generally have to play the video with it to get it in full Atmos...

Hi Hendrik.
I have seen several builds come and go, but no mention of Atmos music file playback ability yet. Any idea of when it will be included?

The file provided above should play without the mentioned error in the latest MC30.

Thank you for the replies. I didn't see any mention in the release notes of any changes to allow m4a Atmos files to play.
They will now play, but incorrectly. These files are Dolby Atmos music files. They are being decoded incorrectly to pcm multi-channel instead of being bitstreamed out as Dolby Atmos.

Bitstreaming is not supported for audio files at this time.

I am a bit confused. Then what is this:
