Thanks Jim :)
And Thanks to everyone that's helped me too :)
-
thanks jim.
besides the answers from some very knowledgeable people on this forum, i learned a lot from the (long) discussions about some features: rick, mr haugen, Vincent Kars, mojave, et all.
and from the the people who try to explore mc and post their findings and solutions: raym,
but most of all the people who take the time to ask questions, and stick to it. trying to find answers and seeing what they and others come up with learned me a lot about mc and how to organize my media etc. xtacbyme (Theater View with a huge library), chris rainman (setting datatype for calculated fields), and many others.
and the hardware department. ben, newposter
and the fact that the (ex?) crew is always here.
jim, matt, bob, dark pinguin, John Gateley, yaobing, johnT
sorry if i wrote a name wrong, its from my head.

What I find engaging is that the active nature of the MC Community (JRers and Users)...where you can actually watch the development of the product in line with the discusion over a matter of days. In addition the knowledge and help from the community is great and for me even has spilled over to the "real world" with "rpalmer68" paying a house call to help me sort stuff out!
Thanks
Nathan
PS - As a comparision, I just got an e-mail from MSoft about a WHS bug I submitted in their "connect" forum...in Oct '09...
Field Resolution changed from [None] to [Won't Fix]
Hi there,
Thank you very much for taking the time to test our product and submit feedback via Connect. Your input is very valuable to us. With regards to this particular issue/feature request, we agree with that the workaround you provide would fix the problme and won't bring confusion to customer at this time.
Best wishes,
Windows Home Server Team

I think scthom should be part of this "Hall of fame". He started to support flac, mpc, wv, etc.
He tried to support aac after I begged for it (eventually without success). I really appreciate his work.

Thanks, Jim. I actually plug MC everywhere, eg www.Redflagdeals.com, the limetech unRAID forums and to all my friends. :)
I do it because I'm really impressed with the sheer amount of work you guys put into it to constantly improve the user experience.
-
Thanks, fitbrit.
noob, I agree about scthom. Thanks for the nomination.
-
zxsix, for patiently answering questions. Thank you.
-
Yes... Thanks to all those who helped.
-
I must add my thanks as well! While I haven't been active on the forum since the beginning of MC13 due to a familly health situation, I did enjoy helping out the noobs back then and sharing my experiences (been around since MJ8) and learning so much from the brainiacs here that have already been mentioned, especially Jim, Matt, Alex, Glynor & Sparta (always good for a laugh!). I'm a version behind at the moment, but I'll catch up soon! Jay.

I would like to thank those that helped me, with initial setup problems on m4a's and a little code editing on hot keys.
Frankly, the level of support here is at a far higher level than I expected.
You've got a great community going here!
I guess I will send my fifty bucks in _grin_
regards

Hey, John... I'm not sure what the story is, but I tried commenting on your article on your site and it didn't work. The clicking the Preview button redirected to 127.0.0.1 somehow. You might want to check it out.

Glynor: THANK YOU for discovering this. It was a typo in .htaccess, just fixed. Please try again. (Note that comments from Anonymous posters must be approved; comments from site-registered users get posted automatically.)

I'd like to express my 1st thanks to Chris at CA for reviewing MC and showing how to set it up in Win7. Many thanks to the developers. I purchased MC15 and am having a blast with it!
-
Just found this 'thank you thread' and want to enter.
Thanks to the whole J.R. team and the guys who helped me coming through.
I startet at 2002 with MC 8 and by the way, i'm still using the same 15" Touch screen today. I'm using MC every day with the 3rd Generation of HTPC and what should i say? It still makes it's job ;)

MrC for all his help with questions. Thank you.
-
We should also thank jgreen for giving up on the idea of beta-testing. Some people are just not cut out for bug reports.
JimH, Matt, etc, you guys rock! MC16 is da bomb!
-
Thanks to kensn for all his help on the forum
-
A special thanks to csimon and connersw for their help on the forum.

Thank you Mr C for helping me de-dupe my database!
The truth is that when last week I contacted the forum asking for help, I was also re-evaluating some other music managers in order to migrate there. I needed to be able to keep a clean-from-duplicates database and MC didn't provide that to me successfully.
For a few days now, he has been in constant contact with me (day and night), creating scripts for Pscriptor and giving me ideas, so that I could safely and easily deduplicate my songs.
I believe that these days Mr C covered a big hole in Deduplicating Processes of MC, by combining Pscriptor with the DateParse, CopyFirst, CopyAndMerge and Fingerprinting scripts.
The only thing that is missing now is the ability to merge Playlists and also be able to compare Fingerprint ID without the help of the online database. This would make MC the best software in DeDup processing as well.
Thanks again Mr C!!!

MrC recommended, and I wholeheartedly agree, that we tip our hats to AndrewFG, author of Whitebear, and our resident UPnP expert, for all the patient help he's given.
And I'd like to thank astromo for his help, delivered with an Aussie accent and sense of humor. Ranks.
Thanks to both of you.

You're most welcome. Although, I would say that some of my "help" is not always on target. Thankfully, (typically) glynor's watchful eye gets me back on track.
I would also say that my sense of Ozzie humour pales a poor 2nd to jmone. Regardless, as longs as it cracks a smile. All's well.. 8)

6233638 deserves a nod, too. Thank you. Long overdue.
