Title: SSL Cert update
Post by: AntaresFR on September 16, 2019, 10:47:39 am
Hi,

I use JRiver as my main Music server at home, and in my domotic custom system. I use it mainly with MCWS and a SSL Cert.
I have some automatic tasks which run on a server and renew my certs from letsencrypt and do many things if needed (restart services, upload certs on other servers, etc...)
I use one of this cert in JRiver without trouble, all works fine. But I have a problem to update the cert in JRiver automatically. I did'nt found any option to renew it from core, to automatically take it from a path or everything else to prevent me from doing it manually each time.
I could use JRiver without SSL, but i wont be able to play file on devices cause my system runs in https :D
Any solution ?

Regards

i use panel behind a proxy that handles my other websites so it doesn't need ssl; that's one option.

All is running in my home network, not on wan, but you are correct, i'll use one of my servers which also uses the same cert to do the proxy role !
Thanks for the idea.

I've been meaning to allow this, perhaps with a MCWS call. Need to get to it finally.

glad i could give you the idea!

I do it for all the weird node/webapp services that go to odd ports.
