Title: m01p:// doesn't play
Post by: cello on July 26, 2022, 07:57:43 am
Hello,

i have a MC server on a Pi4 (linux OS) in my basement .
Then I have a Win Notebook with a MC server which has loaded the library of the MC server Pi4.
Then I have a PI3 (linux OS) which is connected to my music amplifier. There is MC installed which I use as a Music Renderer.

When I send music from Win MC (loaded library) to PI3 MC I get a entry m01p://...   in the filename column of the playlist.
And the file doesn't play.

When I send music from PI4 to PI3 it always work - filename starts then with http://192. ....

What is wrong?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Oli

? so this is a known error of MC28 and was solved in MC29?
Otherwise I can't understand this recommendation really.
I have MC for years (started with MC16)  - bought it serveral times.

I don't know, but trying MC29 is the fastest way to find out.

:-)  just found out - same configuration but a windows system as MC music renderer then it works with m01p://...

Still - I want to use my Pi3 as MC music renderer. Any hints what the problem could be?
Thank you!

Compatibility between Linux and Windows has improved.  That's why it's worth trying MC29.
