Title: Need help with DSD/DSF multichannel streaming
Post by: android on January 23, 2017, 04:51:14 pm
Hi everybody. I am trying to figure out if MC can do what I need or not.

I have the following stuff.

Oppo 103D connected to my network.
JRiver on my PC and a bunch of multichannel DSF files on my computer.
Using Plex as my DLNA server but I also tried turning on the MC DLNA server.

I can pull mchannel DSF from the Oppo and they play, but with gap between track. I can put the mchannel DSFs on a USB thumb drive and select Oppo options and then gapless playback and that does not work as advertised. I get gaps on tracks that are supposed to flow right into each other.

From reading about MC, I think that *maybe* I can push DSF to the Oppo without gaps, but I am not really sure how I go about setting that up. I have the option to PLAY DSF files to the Oppo from MC, but when I do that, nothing comes out the other end.

Any help is appreciated. I am trying to get disc free, gapless, multichannel playback with the gear I currently own.

Have you tried the Oppo Media Control app? That lets you browse to the folder where you have stored the files. When ypu select the a file and after holding the file for just a moment, a pop up will appear asking for normal or gapless play.
