Title: Stable MC 26 now not so stable
Post by: fegelmej on April 13, 2022, 06:33:36 am
After a few years of stable headless work, MC 26 now hangs, crashes, won't auto import and prevents new library creation.  Feels like a "reset" required.  Thanks for your thoughts.

Drive related?  MC wouldn't just stop working.

On what hardware?  Raspberry Pi's are especially sensitive to power problems and can't reliably power a USB drive.  Separate power or a larger power supply should help.  Try a Google search.

If all else fails, restore a library backup and include the settings when asked during restore.
If you can't even do that you probably have a corrupt settings file.
Stop MC
Remove ~/.jriver/Media\ Center\ 26/Settings/*.ini
Start MC
Re-enter your license key.
Restore from a library backup (including settings)
