Title: AIW 9600 Catalyst error
Post by: Lukus on September 13, 2005, 08:59:30 pm
I just bought an AIW 9600 and installed everything fine using the included CD.  Two days later the kid installed "Enter The Matrix" and the computer has been having problem since.  While playing the game, he gets either snow or a black screen or even an occasional reboot.

I tried installing the latest ATI drivers, running the Uninstall utility first, but now I get an error upon every boot up saying there was an error loading CLI.exe which appears to be some Catalyst program.  The video problem in Matrix still persists even though I also updated it with a patch.

Any ideas on what is the problem and how to fix it?

Uninstall

Download

http://www.drivercleaner.net

Goto xp safe mode and this run prog. and delete everything for ATI.

Reinstall, but

If you downloaded the newer CCC make sure you have .Net installed and

make sure you install in proper order.(On either, Old control pannel or CCC)

Ya only need .Net for CCC
