Network playback (DLNA) fails
Unplugging Denon and waiting 5 minutes to plug it in again worked:

Still more ways to see installed Windows applications:

(1) Windows Start Key > Search for:  settings > Apps > Installed apps > Filter by:  All drives > Sort by: Name (A-Z)
Scroll down the list to see all installed versions of JRiver Media Center.  This path is useful mainly for uninstalling, or possibly modifying the install.

(2) Windows Search Bar > Search: JRiver > Apps tab and look for it right there.  If present,  you can click to launch it or choose other options "Open File Location", "Pin to Start Menu",  etc.

Once you find Media Center 32.exe, you can create a new shortcut from its RMB menu, or very carefully RMB drag > release RMB > create shortcuts here.

Do you have any library backups from your old setup before the system crash? The library backup includes your MC settings. You can restore one of the old library backups and you'll get the library management and file move rename settings you had before.

The default location for library backups is in
C:\Users\<user>\Documents\JRiver\Media Center 32\

Restore the last good library backup you had and you should get your settings back
File >> Library >> Restore Library...
click the checkbox to "Restore settings"

Ideally you should be using Windows 10 or 11, as any other version of Windows (e.g. Windows 7 and Windows 8.1) no longer get security updates.

Hi, I have been a JRiver user for quite some time, but I recently had my system crash and had to reinstall everything, windows on up.  All the settings I had were lost and I forgot how I set up JRiver to import newly ripped files.

Whenever I get a new CD I use a folder called RIP to hold the new ripped files and I want JRiver to read that folder and copy the new files to the library, but actually make a copy of those files in the library folder, not by linking to the RIP folder, but actually moving/copying them to the JRiver library folder called FLAC.  How can I set it to do this ??  And for it to be an automated process ??

Thanks

Manolo

Hi,

I cannot find the oldest version of Windows Supported by the JR release, in this case JR32.  I can never find it even with a search.

I'm I doing something wrong?

I have been using JR to update my Ipod, but I know I don't want to upgrade the iTunes version as the newer ones caused me some issues, but at this date I don't remember what they all were. :)

Thank you.

Darrel

That said, I have great news for you. Directory Opus is a file navigator that is perhaps the best software I have ever used.

I can't give enough thumbs-up to this.

Great software, great support, unparalleled documentation.
