The right hand search text field for searching still has to be clicked twice before being able to enter text. I paid for 4 versions so far and this simple bug has not yet been fixed on Linux. Are there any UI fixes / improvements for Linux?
The same about shutting down JRIver - shutdown is very slow for MC 21/22/23/24. Any plans to fix it?
Are there any plans to support 4k scaling? On a 4k screen MC 24 doesn't look too good to put it mildly. I had to change the text to size 18 or so to be able to read - and my vision is 20/20.

I've never seen this bug, can you provide some info about your Linux system where you've been seeing this?

Have you tried using the scaling settings under View-->Size-->200%?  With those and a larger font size MC looks the exact same on a 4K screen for me as on a non-4K screen (I'm using it on a 4K screen right now).  Or do you mean you want the 4k scaling to be automatic?  Or something else?

Search always works for me with a single click, like Windows and Mac.

A.
Ubuntu 17.04 17.10 18.04 (this is a RC) - KDE. Steps to reproduce:
1. click on one of the albums or left panel
2. click once in the search field text and try typing - nothing will happen
3. click once more - now the search box works as expected

B.
In this day and age I'd expect automatic scaling - the same as all other Linux applications I install

BTW - thanks for pointing out the  View-->Size-->200% option. Now it looks better. Thanks again
