The charging receptacle on my Chord Mojo DAC uses micro-usb but the pins have been badly bent and it will no longer charge. I contacted Chord and they didn't even respond. My hope is that a new port can be soldered onto the board. Attached is a picture of the internals. The circuity (or lanes) don't look very dense which is a definite plus. I have no experience or knowledge in the DYI DAC realm so anyone that can offer advice and/or give me some sense of expectation that this is or is not repairable. NwAvGuy would know for sure, right?
Thanks.

The jack itself is the problem? If so we would need to see the underside of the board to see if it is through hole and can be replaced.
If it can be look up the part at mouser or digikey and give it a go.
Not going to get any more broken.

Here’s a picture of the underside of the board. I went to Digikey but for lack of better knowledge couldn’t find the appropriate category to find the correct part.

I think those are just mounting points. I think the real connections are to the board, probably on top just behind the connectors. Could be a real adventure swapping that.

Back in action
Thanks for the help DP

Excellent. Was swapping it straightforward?

Haha hell no.
Despite multiple inquires, I never received a response from Chord.
This process started at Interact. (Thanks DP for the directing me to Mouser, and to Bobby for telling me to order the right micro-USB part)

I can’t say enough about this guy. Incredible mental acuity. And more importantly, integrity. Was very fortunate to meet him.

Very cool. Glad the dude could help. His shop name is disconcerting. Although having discharged the capacitors in a Fender Tweed Deluxe knockoff with my fingers, I do understand the name.

Thanks, Dark.
