Is there a limit to the number of songs you can have in your library, say 10,000?
-
No. We just had a user send us a test library with over 800,000 files, so you're probably fine!
-
I have nearly 110,000 files, and no issues here.
-
We've done more speed work since these benchmarks, but they're a good indication anyway:

65K and my system barely flinches. LOL. Very nice. WMP would have set off a nuke.
-
I wiped out my library (on purpose) because I was cleaning up some files and setting up a new drive. But it says downloading 10000 and has been stuck there for hours
-
"downloading" ? Do you mean importing?
-
the actual words are "adding file 10000" and it still hasn't;t moved from there
-
Disk full?
Take a look at the wiki topic called "Logging".
-
Sounds like a bad file has hung auto import to me.
Logging might help.
Or the binary search method might help.
Good luck.
Brian.
