Title: ios 11
Post by: bobrap on June 23, 2017, 09:18:54 pm
Is JRiver remote being updated for IOS 11?  Running the beta (I know, it's a beta :)) and the remote won't open.  Thanks.

The question/need...is there going to be a 64bit JRemote?  IOS 11 apparently only runs 64bit apps.

I would expect it to be updated for iOS 11.

That being said, JRiver has not historically done any updates to the app prior to the release of the final shipping OS so if JRemote is a critical app for you on iOS I would wait to upgrade your devices until support has been confirmed.

I jumped in early too, and noticed it won't start also.

I have backup devices to use, I know the devil I'm dancing with when it comes to "betas"....

I just love JRemote so much on my iPhone...great product!

On iOS 11 beta since yesterday. JRemote crashes shortly after startup.

Re-installed, which unfortunately did not help.

Thanks for looking into this!

JRiver will most likely look into this issue as soon as (the final) ios11 will be released, since putting resources into fixing compatibility issues with beta releases can be a waste of time.

That's correct.

could you, for the love of all that is good:

add the ability to rotate through subtitles with a simple button

add a simple U/D/L/R control, to the Remote view instead of having to swipe?

....when you update it for iOS 11?

Started using Panel instead.... not nearly as good as JRemote, but at least I have regained control... even multiple zones... ;D

Can you be more specific about the 'panel' alternative, is it an app? I searched but did not find it.

Is it safe to update to iOS 11?  Does JRemote work with the final iOS 11 release?  Thanks!
