I am using a Glaxy Note Model: GT-N7000.In MC's Options, turn on "Media Network". You can get an access key there which you enter on the Android.
Your advise how to identify the phone and use Gizmo.
I have downloaded Gizmo and install on my Glaxy Note. My windows 7 (64Bit) runnning
MCentre 16.
How to connect the PC n Galaxy Note together?
PC under network did not discover Galaxy Note.
Is "Device ID" unique?
Just ordered my tablet, hope Gizmo works with Android 4 ?
Galaxy Nexus HSPA+ VID 1256 PID 26716
Please help JRiver maintain a table of Android devices.
To identify your Android, right-click your Android device under Drive & Devices and choose "Info Dump". (NOTE: This will require Media Center 15.0.136 and later)
Then, post the name of the device along with the vendor ID and product ID from the Info Dump. If you have a link to a nice image of the device (PNG, with transparency), please post that as well.
Thanks for any help!
Out of interest, how does this info help and how will you use it?Correctly identify a device, and place the correct image in the handheld header area, like so:
Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet 10.1 (GT-N8013), Android version 4.1.2
Samsung S2 SGH-I777 smartphone, Android version 4.0.4
Thanks for all the help so far.
It looks like vendors use the same vendor and product ID across lots of devices.
For example, Samsung uses:
Vendor ID: 1256
Product ID: 26720
For:
Samsung Galaxy S2
Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch
Samsung Galaxy Note
HTC does a similar thing.
So we need a better way to identify an Android. Any suggestions?
Another approach is to just use the name "Android" and the robot picture for all Androids, but this doesn't feel as slick.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong but doesn't seem to do anything once installed. Does not see any music files and can't figure out how to configure.
