Title: 9000 File Delete and Backup Seems Pretty Slow on My Win10 Computer

I have a Win 10 system with over 9000 MP3 files (around 100 GB) that I periodically back up to a USB 2 thumb drive. When I delete the old backup files from the USB drive, I notice that the backup speed indicator shows between 0 and 40 files per second are deleted. Same for the rewrite.

Is this a problem with MC or is my Win10 system just slow?

Using Bitdefender 2020 paid version. Do you think that may be the problem?

Some inexpensive USB sticks can be extremely slow.

Only one way to find out.  Uninstall it.

Also configure Windows Defender.
