Title: Help connecting JRiver remote app to an iPad
Post by: Bazza1304 on March 27, 2016, 04:30:22 am
Hi,
Just new to the forum. Having purchased JRiver Media player, I have now bought the App for my Apple iPad. However no matter what I do I can't get it to connect to my lap top where I have JRiver. I have followed instructions carefully, and tried changing the access key, but to no avail.
Has anyone else encountered such problems ? Any advice on how to connect would be greatly appreciated, as I am getting more and more frustrated !
Many thanks.

Welcome to Interact.

Make sure you don't have a typo in the Access Key.

MC or Media Server must be running on the server.

A firewall could prevent access.  See "Network Access (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Network_Access)" on our wiki.

Also the "Media Network" topic.

Hello Jim
I downloaded the trial version for windows recently and i want to purchase the licence.  If i buy the master does this allow me to install remote on my iphone and ipad or do i have to pay separately for each?

by the way when you responded to my email i had already given up on jriver; so i had to reinstall to set up the dlna server and it works fabulously - so thanks for taking the time to respond

JRemote is a separate app that has to be purchased in the App Store. But it's well worth the money.

One more basic question - I purchased the windows version of JRiver for my PC last night.  If I buy the app for my I-Phone will it connect ok to JRiver running on my PC?  and Can the app be installed on my I-Phone and I-Pad from the same purchase?
