I'm using Linux Mint 20.2. The OS sees the drives, as well as the standard OS video software just not MC28. I've tried unplugging the USB drives but still nothing.

As far as I know MC for Linux still doesn't have any support for optical discs like CDs/DVDs/BDs and including things like CD ripping yet.
-
Thanks, that would explain it. Any idea if or when support will be available?

I switched back to Linux in January of 2020, so I know they've said that they're working on adding disc access, for at least the last 22 months.
There are other Linux programs that can play & rip CDs, but they don't have quite the same versatility, when it comes to tagging & auto file naming, as MC.

Just found this out myself and since I have converted to a full Linux platform I am thinking I may need to move on to a different player. This would be a deal breaker for me to continue using JRiver going forward. Hope this is able to be fixed soon because I have not used another player except JRiver and would like to continue doing so.
