Title: Changing buffer size of SINGXER F1 and Asio output
Post by: ozcal on June 29, 2018, 01:23:06 am
Been using JRiver over many generations but discovered today that I can no longer set the buffer size in the F1 control panel where I could before. Now stuck at maximum of 8000 or so samples
I was using DSP to upsample to 176 khz. eliminating oversampling does allow me to reduce the buffer to 2048 but using other programs such as Foobar allows me to reduce the buffer as far as I want.
As I said this is a recent thing , even using WASAPI in JRiver allows the buffer size to be decreased.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Gordon
PS: using JR24 and have tried updating to latest build but problem remains

Try turning off all DSP.

Well that is embarrassing. Somehow the use larger hardware buffer box had become ticked and that was causing the problems. Sound quality now back to excellent.
Thanks for the advice Jim.
