Please can support be added for the new divX file format with the *.divx extension

As long as you have the appropriate Divx/Xvid
codecs Media Center already opens Divx files.
If you go to tools->options->File Assocations
you can choose to have Media Center open these files, automatically
with Media Center

Just thought I'd mention that you don't really need the XviD or DivX codecs to be installed just to play back those files (only to create them).  For playback-only use, ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow) will handle them splendidly (and it handles lots of other formats as well).
