Title: Theater View crashes when scrolling
Post by: dtblair on April 19, 2016, 12:01:47 pm
I have added production text to the Description field for individual tracks.  It exceeds the standard sized field when in Theater View.  When I play a 96kHz, 24 bit file and try to scroll through the description field (using the scroll button), JRiver crashes.

Tested, this only crashes on high res files, not 44.1

Just a guess, but often theater view crashes are caused by video drivers not being updated. I'd check first there ... even if this is not the real reason, the drivers should always be up to date.

I'm also not sure I understand on what you mean to be the "scroll button" on an MCE remote, a keyboard? SHouldn't have anything to do with the bit depth of the file ... but are you saying that this only happens with high sample rate audio files, not with 44.1kHz flac files for example?

A little more research.  It happens on any file on two different computers.  When in Theater view if you expand a text field to see more information and use the up down scroll button (see pic) to the outside of the field (not the one internal to the text field), JRiver crashes
