The option to find cover art in the Internet seems to have disappeared from the menu - I now have "Get from Gracenote" in the menu, but Gracenote has so far failed to find cover art for the three albums I have submitted. What happened to the Internet option?
-
Nothing has happened to it. If you right click on an audio file, you should get that option.

As you can see in this screenshot, I have Gracenote both as a separate menu item and as a sub-menu item of Cover Art where the Internet option used to be...
-
No idea. MC13 hasn't changed in a long time.
Do you have an Internet connection?
Incompatible filetype?
-
What version of MC do you have? Help -> About

Erm, yes I do have an Internet connection, otherwise Gracenote wouldn't be working either, would it ?
13.0.172 - the final
-
You didn't say that it worked.
If you haven't done so, try reinstalling. If that doesn't work, uninstall, removing registry entries, reboot and reinstall.
-
Huh ? Even supposing I had no Internet connection, are you suggesting the menu would then change to show Gracenote (also via Internet, obviously) instead of Internet ?
I'll try a reinstall
-
Reinstall got: "Media Center has encountered critical error #30. Some essential component is missing or courrupted. Please uninstall and reinstall the latest version. If the error persists, report it to JRiver".
So then I deinstalled (incl. registry entries) and reinstalled. Reinstallation produced a series of errors during the install routine. I tried to cancel the installation but was told that this was no longer possible, I would have to wait for the installation to complete and then deinstall/reinstall. Devil as I am, I ignored this completely and tried another reinstall after the second attempt had completed and now MC is back with the Internet option, and yes, I already tried finding the last cover art I was looking for and found it no problem. No other issues so far, so fingers crossed....

You're welcome.
This sounds like rights related problems. Windows 7?
-
Nope, good ol' XP SP3

MC13 hasn't changed in quite a while. You've got multiple (new) errors.
Something's rotten in Denmark.
