Title: MJ8 memory leak
Post by: 3lp on October 02, 2002, 02:43:45 am
Media Jukebox appears to steadily grab more memory
- at a rate of about 4MB in a minute
- eventually it crashes, today after grabbing 148MB
- the following actions reset the mem usage to 2-3MB:
 - changing skin
 - changing from mega-me to mini-me
 - changing from mini-me to mega-me
- it happens when playing an ogg, and playing an mp3
- current build is 372 (downloading 380 now)

mm, on v380 the memory footprint appears to top out at about 12MB which is much better!

is there any plan to make MJ run in a smaller memory footprint? It is one of my hungriest apps

Make sure you have a current version of 8.0 from our downloads page.

Disable all other software, including plug-ins for MJ.

Update Windows through IE/ Tools/ Windows Update.
