Title: AVI file audio fine but black screen (no video)

I have MC 11. I just downloaded an AVI file. The picture does not display. I have never viewed movies on my computer so I never read anything on the topic. A friend said it was a matter of the right kodecs. Where do I look for these generally which ones should I download.

I corrected my spelling and found a previous message on CCCP. I DL and it works fine.
