Title: Running Spotify on a Rasberry (or similar) Sparky board
Post by: Facel on February 01, 2018, 10:26:53 am
I have already installed JRiver on my Sparky USBridge running Dietpi (thanks to Mwillems and Zhillsguy)
USBrige is an audiophile Usb card for Sparky SBC.

I also installed Raspotify but I have no sound... I suspect it is related to a config file for raspotify to use the right audio output (it is my guess)

JRiver is using the sysdefault:CARD=atm7059link [ALSA]
the usb-card is set as default in dietpi config

I do not know what should I write in the raspotify config file in order to address the correct soundcard
and i do not know if I also need to set my spotify premium account user name and password

#
# To choose a different output device (ie a USB audio dongle or HDMI audio out),
# use `--device` with something like `--device hw:0,1`. Your mileage may vary.
#
#OPTIONS="--username <USERNAME> --password <PASSWORD>"

 thanks for your help

As your question relates more to Raspotify than MC, I imagine you'd be better off seeking support from the correct channels for Raspotify than here.

You're right .. as there is no spotify integration into MC, raspotify could be an interesting solution for people running JRiver and
looking for an easy way to acces spotify on the same linux machine.

On the other hand my problem is much more related to linux competencies, in order to be able to correctly apply the
correct argument in the raspotify config file https://github.com/dtcooper/raspotify (https://github.com/dtcooper/raspotify)

I am also looking for a solution on other forums
