Title: iTunes XML import
Post by: RonH on November 11, 2020, 11:41:42 am
Hi

I imported my .wav iTunes XML file with MC27.  Everything imported except for the Album art.  Under Cover Art is there a way to bulk import the correct album art?  Or how can I get the album art to import from the XML file.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Ron

There is no cover art information in the XML from iTunes (just a line like this: <key>Artwork Count</key><integer>1</integer>).  Normally we'd read the tags, but you don't have tags since you use WAV.

If you have the cover art saved externally, you could try right-click > Cover Art > Quick Find in File / Cover Art Directory...

Please share more information about your cover art saving system if you need more help.

Thanks Matt.  The cover art is embedded in the iTunes .itl file.  When I imported the XML file in MC 26, it did import all the album artwork for the albums that it imported.

Is there a way to do this in bulk as opposed to one by one?
