Title: MC29 Linux Mint - Cannot rip CDs
Post by: Maltsters on September 14, 2022, 10:20:35 am
I am running MC29 linux version but can't find a way to rip CD's. In the windows version I see the CD drive under Drives and Devices but under the Linux version I don't see my CD drive at all - I do see it and the files in the linux file explorer.

All I can see in Drives & Devices is "Manage Handhelds".

Am I missing something?

Unfortunately CD ripping hasn't been implemented in MC for Linux yet. Hopefully it's something that's being considered to be implemented during the MC30 release cycle.

Thanks for the info. CD ripping is pretty critical to me, I have a number of custom fields in MC29 which I use (especially for classical music) and so using a generic ripper is more problematic - any suggestions (other than switch back to Windows)?
