Title: MC25 Jack Connection Kit output support (legacy jack / jack2 / jack2-dbus)
Post by: Mozhaaak on July 29, 2019, 09:20:17 am
Hello.
I have been using MC25 on my Arch Linux system for a while now. Still i cannot get jack output to work. playback error in MC25 is all i get.
I have no problem running any other app with Jack output. Funny enough, MC25 doesn't even show up in "Patchbay" section of qjackctl - a popular Jack control app.
I tried using both jack2 with legacy jackd server and jack2-dbus that comes without it. Did anyone have had any luck using jack as an output for MC25?

There's a chance it may not be supported (can't recall reading that it is supported), but I know ALSA and PulseAudio are.

As you can see it tries to connect but in split second fails and goes out.

What i don't know is that, MC25 might be trying to connect not directly, but via alsa loopback device. This jack (alsa) output entry in MC25, did bug my eyes for a while now. Though i had no luck finding any info on jack in MC25 or any previous version whatsoever. It would be nice to get some official info on that.

Jack isn't supported.
